Celebrating Heroes Through Hockey
The Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament unites communities across the United States by bringing together first responders and military personnel for an exhilarating weekend of competitive hockey. Our tournament not only showcases incredible talent but also honors the bravery and dedication of those who protect our nation. By fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship, we aim to create a lasting impact both on and off the ice, inspiring future generations to appreciate and support their local heroes. The History
This October, the Ice Vault Arena in Wayne, NJ will host the third annual Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament, a growing tradition that brings together first responders and hockey fans for a powerful cause. What began as a modest four-team event at Northwell Ice Center on Long Island has quickly evolved into a premier 12-team tournament—with a waitlist of first responder teams eager to take the ice. In just two years, the Heroes Cup has already raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a testament to the tournament’s growing impact and community support. With the NHL joining forces last year and Tunnel to Towers fully behind the mission, the 2025 Heroes Cup promises to be the biggest and best yet. This year marks not just another tournament, but the launch of something even greater—a tradition poised to become a nationally recognized event honoring real heroes through the game of hockey.
The Foundation
Born from 9/11 heroism, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors first responders and military heroes by paying off mortgages for Gold Star and fallen first responder families, building smart homes for injured veterans, and combating veteran homelessness.
